New Masonry

22U APARTMENT BUILDING x 8

  • Furnish, set-up, maintain, dismantle and remove all equipment (forklift, tube scaffolding, ladders, hand tools, etc.) necessary for the masonry portion of the project.
  • Install approximately 7,860 S.F. of full bed natural stone veneer on building and columns as per drawings. Stone is to be installed in a random “ashlar” pattern using natural gray or buff type ‘N’ mortar. Mortar joints are to be “over grouted” per drawings.
  • Furnish and install cast stone sills and headers on building and limestone caps on the top of columns as per drawings.
  • Veneer to be anchored to substrate using one (1) two-piece adjustable anchor installed every 16” O.C. horizontally and vertically.
  • Furnish and install steel lintels over opening in masonry veneer.
  • Furnish and install 40mils self-adhesive flashing over a 1½” stainless steel drip edge at the base of masonry veneer, below limestone sills, over opening in masonry and below limestone caps with plastic cell vent “weeps” installed every 32” O.C. maximum.
  • Chemical washing of stone veneer masonry upon completion of project using stone manufacturer approved masonry cleaner. This will be a light cleaning due to the nature of the “over grouted” mortar joint technique.

18U APARTMENT BUILDING x 2

  • Furnish and install cast stone sills, headers and limestone coping above front entrance on building and limestone caps on the top of columns as per drawings.
  • Veneer to be anchored to substrate using one (1) two-piece adjustable anchor installed every 16” O.C. horizontally and vertically.
  • Furnish and install steel lintels over opening in masonry veneer.
  • Furnish and install 40mils self-adhesive flashing over a 1½” stainless steel drip edge at the base of masonry veneer, below limestone sills, over opening in masonry and below limestone caps with plastic cell vent “weeps” installed every 32” O.C. maximum.
