Masonry:
- Furnish, set-up, maintain, dismantle and remove all equipment (tube scaffolding, ladders, hand tools, etc.) necessary for the masonry alterations portion of the project.
- Furnish and install 12” IWR CMU for new 10’-0” tall rear elevation dock screen wall as per drawings. Block to be installed in standard running bond using natural gray IWR type ‘S’ mortar. Mortar joints are to be tooled concave, brushed and tooled to a final finish. Three (3) control joints will be furnished and installed with caulk as per drawings (NP-1 standard colors or equal).
- Create two (2) new openings in existing 12” CMU wall on the rear elevation as per drawings (one (1) measuring approximately 3’-4” * 3’-4” and one (1) measuring approximately 8’-0” * 9’-0”). Openings to consist of removal of masonry and toothing jambs of masonry opening as necessary. Opening to include installation of steel lintels furnished by others. Steel lintels will then be enclosed with masonry to match existing as close as possible.
- Infill six (6) openings in existing 12” CMU on the rear elevation as per drawings (three (3) measuring approximately 3’-4” * 7’-4”, one (1) measuring approximately 8’-0” * 9’-4” with a new man door within, one (1) small louver opening, and one (1) measuring approximately 6’-4” * 7’-4”). Standard gray IWR 12” CMU to be toothed in and installed in standard running bond using IWR natural gray type ‘S’ mortar. Mortar joints are to be tooled concave, brushed and tooled to a final finish. Cells that are not grouted will be filled with Perlite loose fill insulation.
- Vertical reinforcement to be one (1) grade 60 #6 rebar installed in fully grouted CMU cores every 24” O.C. horizontally.
- Horizontal reinforcement to be 12” H.D. ladder type wire installed in masonry coursing every 16” O.C. vertically.
- Furnish and install copper flashing with weep tubes every 24” O.C. at base of new cast stone and 12” Blok flash at new 12” CMU as necessary.
- Furnish and install cast stone base around one (1) front entry column as per drawings. Cast stone will be anchored using one (1) two-piece adjustable anchor every 16” O.C. Cast stone will be installed in standard running bond using natural gray IWR type “S” mortar. 1” mortar trap will be installed at the base.
