New Masonry

• Furnish, set-up, maintain, dismantle and remove all equipment (fork-lift, tube scaffolding, ladders, hand tools, etc.) necessary for the new masonry portion of the project.
• Furnish and install thin stone veneer at exterior elevations of the building as per drawings.  Thin stone to be Sterling Grey as manufactured by Halquist.
• Furnish and install cast stone sills, bands, headers, and caps as per drawings.
• Installation to consist of covering substrate with felt paper, drainage mat, fastening metal lathe over felt paper and drainage mat using galvanized screws/nails (1 screw/nail per square foot minimum penetrating studs a minimum of 1”), applying scratch coat and lastly thin stone.  Mortar to be natural gray type “N” mortar.
• Once thin stone has set all stone joints to be grouted and tooled to final finish using natural gray type “N” mortar.
• Weep screed to be installed at the base of stone veneer and over openings in thin stone veneer..
• Furnish and install steel angles with 40mil self-adhesive flashing over 1-1/2” stainless steel drip edge below new cast stone bands with cotton rope “weeps” installed in masonry head joints every 24” O.C. as per drawings.
• Furnish and install masonry for two (2) monument signs as per drawings (stone as mentioned above and brick as per below allowance).
• Furnish and install one (1) course of fully grouted standard gray 6” CMU for the base of all exterior walls as per drawings. Block to be installed in standard running bond using natural gray type ‘S’ mortar. Mortar joints are to be tooled concave, brushed and tooled to a final finish.
• Furnish and install standard gray 8” CMU for the following as per drawings (one (1) double elevator shaft up to 34’-0” tall and one (1) separation fire wall between center and left wing up to 17’-4” tall). Block to be installed in standard running bond using natural gray type ‘S’ mortar. Mortar joints are to be tooled concave, brushed and tooled to a final finish.
• Furnish and install 8” M.G. ladder wire for interior block walls every 16” O.C. as per drawings.
• Furnish and install one (1) grade 60 #5 rebar every 48” O.C. for vertical reinforcement as per drawings.
• Furnish and install fully grouted bond beam coursing with two (2) grade 60 #5 rebar installed continuously at tops of walls and at floor levels as per drawings.
• Furnish and install one (1) masonry trash enclosure as per drawings.
