Masonry
- Furnish, set-up, maintain, dismantle and remove all equipment (forklift, tube scaffolding, ladders, hand tools, etc.) necessary for the masonry portion of the project.
- Furnish and install utility brick (to match existing as close as possible) over standard gray 8” CMU for new addition walls as per drawings. CMU and brick to be installed in standard running bond (with soldier coursing per drawings) with natural gray Type S mortar. One (1) brick veneer column as per drawings.
- Furnish and install stone sills at new addition per plans.
- CMU to be reinforced with one (1) grade 60 #5 rebar installed every 48” O.C. horizontally. CMU cores containing vertical bars to be grouted solid. Additional grouting and reinforcement as per structural drawings.
- Furnish and install bond beam coursing as per structural drawings.
- Furnish and install 8” hook wire every 16” O.C. in new walls.
- Furnish and install rigid insulation and Sto Gold Coat air and moisture barrier over CMU between new brick and block addition walls per plans.
- Create two (2) new pass-thru openings from existing to new addition measuring approximately 6’-6” wide. Also, remove masonry below one (1) window to turn it into a door openings per plans. Jambs to be toothed and grouted per drawings. Lintels to be installed and enclosed but furnished by others.
- Infill one (1) existing man door opening to match existing as close as possible per plans.
- Furnish and install self-adhesive flashing with cotton rope weeps every 24” O.C. at base of new masonry and over openings in new masonry per plans.
