New Masonry

  • Furnish, set-up, maintain, dismantle and remove all equipment (forklift, tube scaffolding, ladders, hand tools, etc.) necessary for the masonry portion of the project.
  • Furnish and install a combination of Slate Gray Velourand Sea Gray Velour #12utility size face brick as manufactured by Hebron Bricknecessary for erecting new masonry veneer walls as per drawings.  Brick is to be installed in 3rd bond using colored (color selected from Solomon Colors “X” Series Mortar Colors) type ‘N’ mortar.  Mortar joints are to be tooled concave, brushed and tooled to a final finish.
  • Furnish and install Savannastone #3 cast stone sills as manufactured by Harvey Cement Products as per drawings.
  • Veneer to be anchored to substrate using one (1) two-piece adjustable anchor installed every 16” O.C. horizontally and vertically.
  • Furnish and install 1” Mortar Net (or approved equal) in wall cavity at the base of masonry walls and over openings in masonry as per drawings.
  • Furnish and install all steel lintels for openings in masonry veneer as per structural drawings. Steel lintels are to be either 1.) galvanized or 2.) primed and powder coated at the owner/architect’s option.
  • Furnish and install 40mil self-adhesive flashing over a 1½” stainless steel drip edge at the base of masonry walls, over openings in masonry and below cast stone sills with plastic cell vent “weeps” installed in masonry head joints every 24” O.C.
  • Chemical washing of new brick and stone masonry upon completion of project.  Chemical washing to consist of applying one (1) coat of Sure Klean Detergent 600 as manufactured by Prosoco with hand held sprayers, brushing into masonry surface and rinsing clean with high-pressure water.
  • Furnish and install caulking at control joints, around windows/doors in masonry veneer, masonry wall ends where brick veneer meets and around balcony joists in masonry on building as per drawings.  Caulking to consist of installing 3/8” closed cell backer rod and filling joints completely with a one-part polyurethane sealant (Sonneborn NP-1 or equal) and tooling to final finish.

Trash Enclosure

  • Furnish, set-up, maintain, dismantle and remove all equipment (forklift, tube scaffolding, ladders, hand tools, etc.) necessary for the masonry portion of the project.
  • Furnish and install Slate Gray Velourutility size face brick as manufactured by Hebron Brick with standard gray 8” CMU back-up necessary for erecting new masonry Trash Enclosure walls as per drawings.  Block is to be install in standard running bond using natural gray type ‘S’ mortar and brick is to be installed in 3rd bond using colored (color selected from Solomon Colors “X” Series Mortar Colors) type ‘N’ mortar.  Mortar joints are to be tooled concave, brushed and tooled to a final finish.
  • Furnish and install Savannastone #3 cast stone coping as manufactured by Harvey Cement Products as per drawings.  Cast stone coping to be anchored to masonry walls below using stainless steel dowels (two (2) per stone).
  • Furnish and install fully grouted bond beam course at the top of CMU Site Walls with two (2) grade 60 #5 rebar installed as per drawings.
  • Vertical reinforcement at CMU Site Walls to be one (1) grade 60 #4 rebar install every 48” O.C. horizontally.  CMU cores containing vertical reinforcing bars to be grouted solid.
  • Horizonal reinforcement for CMU at Site Walls to be hot-dipped galvanized ladder type wire installed in masonry coursing every 16” O.C. vertically.
  • Veneer to be anchored to substrate using one (1) two-piece adjustable anchor installed every 16” O.C. horizontally and vertically.
  • Furnish and install 1” Mortar Net (or approved equal) in wall cavity at the base of masonry walls as per drawings.
